LEADERSHIP COLUMBIA
ATTENDANCE POLICY
-
Class Day Attendance – To graduate
from Leadership Columbia, you must
attend the Leadership Columbia sessions
without missing more than 14 hours in
order to be eligible for graduation.
Each session lasts a full day (about 8
hours) unless otherwise noted on the
class agenda for that day.

Retreat Attendance Required – It is
mandatory that you participate in
the two-day out-of-town retreat. The
two-day retreat is scheduled for
September 14 & 15. This is over and
above the 14-hour attendance
requirement.

Class Project –The class will select
a class project. The class project will
require time outside of class sessions.
Participation is mandatory for
graduation. The class project must be
completed prior to graduation.
Enrichment
Activities
One of the primary
goals of leadership Columbia is to encourage
individual involvement in leadership roles
within the community. Throughout that
program, participants get a birds-eye view
of the issues facing the community.
Enrichment opportunities are made available
to class participants to further enhance
their community knowledge.
In order to graduate
from the Leadership Program, class
participants must:

Complete 5 hours of
non work-related community service with
an approved organization. (Approval must
be sought prior to service) You are
encouraged to volunteer/work in an area
outside of where you are volunteering.

Participate in 1
Board Development seminar. These
seminars are presented by the SC
Association of Nonprofit Organizations.
Dates to be determined:
The sessions will be 5:30-7:30 pm at the
Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
You must RSVP in advance.

Participate in one
Columbia Chamber-related activity.

Attend two
Leadership Columbia Alumni Association
Leadership Series
Enrichment Activities
must be completed prior to May 2, 2007.
It is your responsibility to obtain proper
documentation and submit either by fax or
mail prior to May 7.
